How to assign light effects to just one or a specific group of pads

You created a light effect but all the buttons you press have the same effect. Or you want some lights to be red, others green and others yellow. This tutorial will show how to work on specific pads.

First create the desired effect, then select all the devices you used (to do this, hold shift and click each device. Eg: velocity, chord and random) and press (Ctrl + G) or (Cmd + G). Select the chain view session on the left side.

Now click on "Key". A window with notes will open. Press the pad/pads you want the effect to be and notice that the will become red in the keys.

Drag the bigger green bar from its edges to the desired note.

If you want other buttons that are far from the first button, just copy the chain and put the bar wherever you want.

You can now put the effect only in the pads you want!
